HOW IT WORKS

1. Book your appointment

Book online via the booking link. Appointments can be before school, during school, or after school.

2. Submit to Orah

All students (or parents/guardians) should submit the appointment into Orah for approval by the Boarding Coordinator.

3. Arrive at the clinic

Please arrive at the top level of the Aquatic & Fitness Centre 15 minutes prior to your appointment time. Enter via the stairs on the basketball court side. Wait outside of the room until you're called in.

4. Same day communication

Following the appointment, we provide same-day communication with parents/guardians and relevant Joeys staff (where appropriate) to ensure a seamless, end-to-end service.

OUR NETWORK

We work closely with Dr Nathan Gibbs (Sports & Exercise Physician) in the management of Joeys patients.

Where needed, we can coordinate directly with trusted sports physicians, orthopaedic specialists, and radiologists to ensure clear diagnosis and appropriate next steps.

FAQ

Who can book an appointment at this clinic

This location is for Joeys students, Old Boys and staff.

Do parents need to attend the appointment

No. Almost all students attend on their own, and we usually have two students (or staff) present. We send a report to parents/guardians after every appointment.

Do parents need to book the appointment?

No. Most students book their appointments, however, a consent form must be signed by a parent/guardian before their first consultation.

What should we bring?
Any relevant scans or referral letters (if applicable). We have shorts that you can change in to from your school uniform.

Do you communicate with coaches or school staff?

When helpful, we provide same-day communication with relevant Joeys staff to support a seamless return to training.

Is it for day students and boarders?

Both day students and boarders are welcome.

Where exactly do we go?

Please arrive at the Aquatic & Fitness Centre 15 minutes prior, then enter via the stairs on the basketball court side and wait outside the clinic room.

Is it covered by private health?

Yes. We have HICAPS in the clinic and can process on-the-spot rebates for all major health funds. To claim in clinic, a physical private health card or digital wallet card must be available at the time of payment. If not, we’ll send the invoice and the parent/guardian can claim the rebate directly with their health fund.

How do we pay?

Payment can be taken in clinic at the appointment. Our HICAPS terminal is EFTPOS-enabled, so we can process all card payments (including American Express). If no payment is taken, we can send the invoice to a parent/guardian for payment within 48 hours.
